    Maastricht

Stylish and historic at once: that’s Maastricht. The perfect city for a day’s shopping, dining, culture or relaxation. While Maastricht offers all the usual highstreet shops, you shouldn’t miss the amazing small boutiques in the side streets. Every Thursday is evening shopping day with shops staying open until 9pm. On the first Sunday of every month, shops open from 12 to 18:00.

Stylish and historic: that’s also a description for the Selexys bookshop. This modern bookshop, located in an old Dominican church, harmoniously blends the past with the present. The result is so impressive, the bookshop even won the prestigious “Lensvent Interior Prize 2008”. Definitely worth a visit!

  • Luik

    Luik

Luik, a town on the Maas River, is known as the “firey town” due to its historic furnaces and weapons industry. Today, Luik is known more as an art town and has many museums that are worth seeing, such as the “Archeoforum”, where you can marvel at archaeological finds, and the “Museum van het Waalse Leven” (Museum of Wallonian Life) where you can learn about the industries and history of Luik. There’s a wealth of other interesting museums in this capital town of the province of Luik.
Shopaholics will also love it here. On Sundays, the “La Batte” market offers all sorts of articles for sale, from antiques to food.
